The Father’s Life

The Father’s Life, with Michael Pierce is a regular conversation where we lean into the heart of God and discover together what it means to live as His sons and daughters.

For nearly five decades, Michael has carried the heart of a spiritual father, walking with people of every generation and helping them step into the fullness of who God created them to be. Alongside his wife Ann, Christ For Your City was founded in 1995, and together they’ve served churches and communities across Canada and around the world.

This podcast is more than  teaching—it’s a shared table. A place of stories and honest conversations where the family of God can gather and grow. Here, we press into His presence, listen for His voice, and remind one another of who we are and to whom we belong!

The Father’s Life invites you to join the journey with us. You are not alone—you are part of a family, shaped by grace and rooted in His love.

Annika Sophia Roth is a 22-year-old artist and child educator from a small town in eastern Germany. Growing up in a creative family—her father a worship leader and her mother a constant encourager—Annika developed a love for painting, music, and dance from a young age.
After completing five years of training in child education and family care, she now works with families to help create safe and healthy homes for children to grow and thrive.

Alongside this, Annika has embraced her calling as an artist. Her paintings—often created live during worship—are inspired by God’s presence and her personal journey with Him. Through her art, she hopes to bring healing, hope, and life to others, inviting them to encounter the same love that continues to transform her own story.

In this episode of The Father’s Life, Michael Pierce sits down with his longtime friend, Seelian Chua, from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Together, they reflect on Seelian’s powerful journey—from two decades in the corporate world to leading a congregation as a spiritual father—and the lessons he’s learned about raising up the next generation of leaders.

Their conversation dives deep into themes of spiritual perseverance, walking out kingdom life “no matter the cost,” and learning to build healthy, intergenerational church families. They share inspiring stories of ministry among Malaysia’s tribal communities, the importance of opening our homes and tables, and how to walk alongside others so they can flourish.

Seelian’s heart for the nations, his commitment to relational discipleship, and his call for Canadians (and believers everywhere) to reach “one life, one family at a time” will challenge and encourage you. This episode ends with a powerful prayer for listeners to become bridges of God’s love in their own communities.
